There’s nothing quite like the outdoors and Halcyn Outfitters was founded to help others experience the things we live and breathe on a daily basis. Marc Thompson, the owner and head guide, has been outdoors since birth growing up with a granddaddy that started him out early with the fishing bug. Later in life hunting came in to play and now he can't get enough of either. If it is legal to hunt or fish then Marc is on it!!
In 2012 Marc was one of the founding members of Team Trout Slayer, a competitive fly fishing team on the Trout Legend Fly Fishing League. He is now the president of the team and loves not only to get out and compete with some of the best anglers in the world but also teach others the wonders of competitive style fly fishing. 
Halcyn Outfitters has legal permission to guide and hunt on over 4000 acres of private property as well. A guided deer, turkey, or predator hunt can be scheduled during the proper seasons. All properties are managed to grow trophy deer and turkey and have specific rules and restrictions on harvests with that in mind. Contact us directly for more information.
Halcyn Outfitters has a small fleet of boats to cater to a variety of fishing options. Whether you would like to take a buddy down the river in a drift boat or scoot into some flats to test your skills on carp we can accommodate you.

In 2018 Wes Neal joined the Halcyn team as a guide for both fishing and hunting. Marc and Wes have been fishing and hunting buddies for years. Wes has proven himself time and time again in the water and in the woods as a top guide and outdoorsman. Wes has permission on all property owned and managed by Halcyn Outfitters as well as permission to use all equipment owned and managed by Halcyn Outfitters.
